IBC Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct is for the benefit of all teams, local football facilities and residents.

  • Aggressive, abusive, violent or anti-social behaviour towards Council staff & officials, residents, match officials & players or spectators will not be tolerated.
  • Foul, abusive and racial language will not be tolerated on or off the pitch.
  • All players should behave in a responsible and considerate manner so that disturbance to local residents is kept to an absolute minimum.
  • Smoking is not allowed inside changing facilities. Any team found smoking could be suspended from using these facilities, fined 100 and potential prosecuted under the law.
  • Football boots of any kind i.e. studs, blades, must be removed before entering the building on all occasions.
  • The knocking out or cleaning of boots in the changing rooms, corridors or showers is strictly prohibited. Any teams found abusing this rule will be reported to their leagues, and will be issued an additional charge of 30 to cover the extra cleaning. Photographic evidence may be used to support this. Persistent offenders of this rule will result in that club being suspended from Council pitches.
  • All other abuse of facilities will not be tolerated and may result in that club being suspended from Council pitches.
  • Any damage caused to facilities will be charged to the team responsible.
  • Teams who do not pay fees by the required date will not be allowed to play further matches.
  • Teams hiring Ipswich Borough Council pitches will comply with the current guidance issued by the Suffolk FA regarding Safeguarding Children.
  • Players and supporters will be expected to dispose of their litter in the bins provided. Any litter found around the football pitch is the responsibility of the home teams to collect and a charge will be made should they fail to do so.
  • Consideration must be given to residents when parking vehicles, at grounds without designated parking areas. i.e.
    • Do not obstruct driveways.
    • Do not park on pavements.
    • Refrain from parking vehicles in such a manner that would cause obstruction to residents or emergency vehicles.
    Failure to observe these guidelines may result in enforcement action.
  • Human Rights - Use of video, photographic and mobile phone imaging equipment is strictly prohibited within the changing rooms and the immediate vicinity. Clubs wishing not to be photographed or video must submit this request to the ISFL League Secretary prior to the start of the season.

Gainsborough Sports Centre - 10 grass pitches, 1 mini pitch and 1 junior pitch (showers and changing facilities included in the price)

Whitton Sports Centre - 3 grass pitches (showers and changing facilities included in the price)

Bourne Park - 2 grass pitches and 1 junior pitch.

Chantry Park - 2 grass pitches.

Dumbarton Road Recreation Ground - 2 grass pitches and 1 mini pitch
