Sam Reach plays his 100th match for Playford
Sam Reach is the 26th player to play 100 times for Playford. Sam made his debut as an 18 year old after joining from Sutton Heath. He played 18 times for the first team in his first season and secured four clean sheets in the process, one against Laxfield and another against Leiston Orient, clubs that finished second and third and rivaled Playford for the title. He kept his first clean sheet in the first ever Reserve team match, a nil-nil draw against Suffolk Punch and has kept nine in total.
Sam saved all three penalties in a shoot-out last season against Kesgrave Kestrels in the Junior Cup Third Round. He has also saved a penalty in the Quarter Final against Westbourne Warriors.
He has been awarded seven Man of the Matches and won the inaugural Young Player of the Season for 2018/2019. He has a RM2 Division Winners medal from 2013/2014.
Sam is an important member of the squad and is happy playing for both the First Team and the Reserves, with his appearances split between both sides (66/34). He has become integral to the Reserves in the last two seasons and has three Man of the Matches already this season.
