Playford welcomed back goalkeeper Sam Reach to cover for the absent Juster and he played his part in a great victory over Walton Wanderers.
Playford took an early lead, Joe Harris' run from midfield was not picked up and he was left to round the 'keeper.
Leon Moye, in only his third first team game, picked up a thigh injury and had to withdraw after 12 minutes and was replaced at centre back by Ben Thomas. Thomas went on and performed exceptionally well in an unfamiliar position.
Liam Harris was injured in a needless challenge on the touchline but after a short break for treatment was able to continue.
Walton equalised before half time tucking a low shot between Reach's legs.
Christian King was found with a long low pass by Rich Jones and he was able to cut in from his right wing position and knock the ball over the inrushing goalkeeper to regain Playford's lead.
Mid way through the second half Christian King found himself bearing down on the goalkeeper but he was brought down before he could shoot for a penalty. The referee booked the defender, who was last man but had made a genuine attempt to tackle the King. Ash King stepped up to take the penalty, having missed as recently as January, his shot to the 'keepers right was at a nice height and was saved. It was the third penalty save the Walton 'keeper has made this season.
Liam Harris was replaced by Chris Jones for the last 15 minutes, Walton did manage to have the ball in the net, a cross from the right was headed home but the two forwards were judged to have been offside.
Playford held on for the final couple of minutes to secure a win.
