Sam Burman - 1XI Player's Player of the Season

Centre half, Sam Burman, took home this seasonís Playerís Player award after another solid season at the back.

Sam, who won Managerís Player of the Season last year, played 20 times in total but would have been more had his season not been cut short by injury. He was voted Man of the Match for the 4-1 win away at Pauls, a game in which he scored. He was also runner up on a further six occasions, in fact he scored votes in 70% of the matches he played.

Though predominantly used in the centre of defence, Sam also appeared a number of times at right back and this led him to pick up three assists, doubling his career assists in one season. In fact it was his contribution in the oppositionís half that made this season a standout for Sam. As well as the assists he also grabbed four goals, equally his best return for one campaign. That included a brace in the 5-3 away win at Taverners, which couldíve easily been a hat-trick such was the threat he posed the opposition from corners.

Two very good seasons from Sam resulting in two well-deserved awards.

Congratulations Sam
