Playford FC produced a thrilling attacking display to run out 6–4 winners against Felixstowe Spartans — with returning striker Jacob Buck stealing the headlines.
In what could hardly have been scripted better, Buck marked his return to the club with a stunning hat-trick, scoring all three goals inside 34 minutes. It was his fifth hat-trick in Playford colours and, fittingly, also the 100th hat-trick in the club’s history.
The goals didn’t stop there, with George Godbold, Jordan Robinson and Ellis Rowland all getting on the scoresheet to cap off an entertaining morning in front of goal.
It wasn’t all plain sailing, however, with Playford conceding four in a chaotic contest, but ultimately doing enough to secure all three points.
Elsewhere, Sean Wilson was cautioned during the match, while there was also a debut to celebrate as Ryan Good made his first appearance for the club.
